Catalyst Learning and Development is committed to ensuring the privacy and protection of both our website visitors and our clients. This privacy policy outlines how we use and store your personal data and is compliant with the GDPR laws introduced on 25th May 2018.
Personal Information Collection
We endeavour only to collect and use your personal information with your knowledge and expressed consent. This would typically be through invitations to our events, job applications or enquiries into the services that we offer.
The type of personal information we collect could include your name, title, work email address, main office address and telephone number. Other information includes company payment details for invoicing and training programmes.
If you choose to provide us with personal information, it will be used only in support of our relationship with you for the intended purposes stated at the time which it was collected and subject to any preferences indicated by you.
If you do submit personal information by requesting our services or completing a web form registration, you can be assured that we will use your personal information in a responsible manner for the sole purpose it was initially collected only. It will be kept for the length of time of its intended purpose and then deleted in a secure manner.

We may also collect non-personally identifying information about your visit to our websites based on your browsing activities using Google Analytics. This information may include the pages you browse, and products and services viewed. This helps us to better manager and develop our sites, to provide you with a more enjoyable, customised experience in the future, and to help us deliver better products and services tailored to your individual interests and needs.

We may use your information for a number of purposes which includes: delivering any services, products or information to you or your organisation, keeping you informed about updates to our products and services and inviting you to our events through Mailchimp email campaigns and via post.

Catalyst Learning and Development is committed to ensuring the privacy and protection of personal data for all our employees, visitors, clients and prospective clients.
We only seek to contact those professionals who are in positions responsible for the Learning and Development of their employees, and/or whom are responsible for the Apprenticeship Levy in their organisation.
We only seek to build and maintain relevant and appropriate relationships with our prospective clients, and firmly believe that there is a clear balance of interest from both parties.
It is in the full legitimate interest of the Controller (us) and Data Subject for Catalyst Learning and Development Ltd to promote our services to both previous and prospective clients. We feel that in order to help organisations take full advantage of the Levy for the benefit of their people and their organisation, it is reasonable that we are able to contact them to educate, update and offer our services. We use Mailchimp to manage our direct marketing processes and data subjects always have the option to opt-out in each campaign or by contacting us directly.
We only ever seek to collect business registered phone numbers, addresses and email addresses. Any other personal data (mobile phone numbers) will be given with explicit consent by the data subject. In all cases, personal data is kept secure and confidential, and all of our staff are well experienced in data protection, receiving annual training or as and when any changes occur in legislation.
Security
No data transmission over the Internet or any other network can be guaranteed as 100% secure, but we take all the appropriate steps to stay up to date with the latest security software in the interest of protecting your personal data and our business as a whole.
All necessary information collected about our clients and learners is stored securely and is not shared with any parties outside of contractual agreements. Hard copies of data are kept in locked areas only.
When Will We Disclose Your Information To Others?
We will only disclose information about you and your contact details to direct employees of Catalyst Learning and Development Ltd and Associate Trainers for the purposes for which it was initially collected and all information is subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We use trusted online programmes such as OnePage, OneFile, and Mailchimp to store information about our clients and each site has its own privacy policy which we advise you to read if you have any concerns.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy Statement, employees of Catalyst Learning and Development also work under the brand of Square Mile Leadership and will only share information with outside bodies when appropriate and necessary and only when agreed by you through prior agreements/contracts i.e. ESFA for Apprenticeship clients.
Please note that Catalyst Learning and Development Ltd does not sell or pass your personal information to third parties unless you have given us specific direct permission or unless it is strictly necessary to deliver the products and services ordered or used by you. In this instance you will be notified beforehand.
Exceptions to the above may include the following. Catalyst Learning and Development may be obliged to disclose your personal information to meet any legal or regulatory requirements (for example to comply with a court order) or obligations in accordance with applicable law.
Social Media, Blogs and Reviews
Any social media posts or comments you send to us (e.g. via LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter) will be shared under the terms of the relevant social media platform on which they were written and could be made public. As we do not own these sites, we are not responsible for how these sites may share this data. We recommend you should review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of the social media platforms that you use. That way, you will understand how they will use your information, what information relating to you they will place in the public domain, and how you can prevent this if you do not agree.
Any blog, review or other post or comment you make about us, our products and services on any of our blogs, reviews or user community services will be shared with all other members of that service and the public at large. Any comments you make on these services and on social media must not be offensive, insulting or defamatory. You are responsible for ensuring that any comments you make comply with any relevant policy on acceptable use of those services.
Careers Information
In submitting a job application to us, either directly or through a job posting site (e.g. Jobsite), you should be aware that if you have provided consent, we may contact you to discuss other opportunities that may arise within the business. You can change your mind or withdraw your application and/or consent at any time.
How Long Do We Keep Your Information For?
To make sure we meet out legal data protection and privacy obligations, we only hold on to your information for as long as we actually need it and only for the purposes we acquired it for in the first place.
In most cases, this means we will keep your information for as long as you continue to use our services, and for a reasonable period of time afterwards, if you stop doing so just in case the any future queries by yourself or our previous interaction with you. After this time, we will delete it in a secure manner, other than where we are expected to lawfully keep any data for audit or legal reasons.
We keep data on our prospect database for no longer than 3 years from receipt, subject to an individual’s right to unsubscribe or have their information deleted at any time.

Catalyst Learning and Development Ltd recognises that its customers are increasingly concerned about how companies protect personal information from misuse, abuse and about privacy in general. Catalyst Learning and Development Ltd is constantly reviewing and enhancing its technical, physical and managerial procedures and rules to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, accidental loss and/or destruction. We use industry standard TLS/DV certificates to provide encryption of data in transit, for example all access to Catalyst Learning and Development Ltd and Square Mile Leadership’s websites and management portals is covered by HTTPS.
